Use Reynforce in ChatGPT

Last updated

A ChatGPT workspace admin adds your Reynforce workspace's address as a custom app, and then you sign in with your work account. ChatGPT can then search your register, and it may ask you to confirm before a change.

Not tried yet. Nobody has connected ChatGPT to Reynforce. The same sign-in problem that stopped Claude on 20 October 2026 applies here, and its fix is waiting to go out. Until somebody has done it end to end, treat every step below as untested.

What you need first

Add it (a workspace admin)

  1. Turn on developer mode: Workspace Settings > Permissions & Roles > Connected Data, then turn on Create custom MCP connectors.
  2. Go to Workspace settings > Apps and click Create.
  3. Enter a name (Reynforce) and your workspace's address as the server.
  4. Choose OAuth for authentication, and sign in with your work account when asked.
  5. Click Scan Tools and wait. A signed-in member should see up to seven tools.
  6. Click Create. The app is now a draft under Apps > Drafts.
  7. Try it in a chat (below). When it works, go to Apps > Drafts and click Publish so the rest of your workspace can use it.

On Enterprise and Edu, Configure Actions in the publish step chooses which tools are allowed. OpenAI says new actions are off by default, so switch on the ones you want.

Use it in a chat

Open a new chat and pick Reynforce from the tools menu, or mention it by name. ChatGPT applies an app to one message at a time, so mention it again when a follow-up needs the register. Then ask in plain words:

What each tool does

ToolWhat it doesChanges anything?
Search the registerFinds lines your company stands behind, each with its owner, its last check and whether it may be usedNo
Check an action against the mandateAsks whether an action is allowed, and writes the check downAdds a record only
Propose claimsTurns a document into proposed lines for a person to acceptAdds proposals only
Set a claim's ownerNames who stands behind a lineYes
Accept one claimAccepts a single proposed lineYes
Confirm a claim is still trueMarks a line as checked todayYes
Contest a claimSays a line is wrong, so no agent may use it until it is settledYes

Every tool tells ChatGPT whether it only reads, whether it changes something a person relies on, and that it touches nothing outside your own register. OpenAI says ChatGPT may ask you to confirm a change, depending on the app's permissions and the action. We have not seen which of the four it asks about, so read the confirmation before you approve one.

What ChatGPT sends us

Only what each tool needs: your search words, the action you describe, and the line you act on. Not your conversation. What we hold has the full account.

OpenAI's steps are from its help page Developer mode and MCP apps in ChatGPT, read on 20 October 2026. It does not name every field in the form, so a label here may differ from what you see. That page is the one to trust.
