Reynforce and Tribble
Tribble gives your people an approved answer to a buyer's question, with its source and owner attached. Reynforce does the same job for your AI agents: it checks each promise before it goes out, and records every one.
The problem
An answer library is built for people who ask. An agent needs something it must check before it speaks.
What Tribble does
Tribble is an answer library, and a well-designed one. In its own words, "Tribble answers every buyer question from what your experts already approved, with the source and owner attached."
It shows "the source document version, the last reviewer, and the approval date". It "leaves out what is outdated, restricted or in dispute". And "Uncertain answers go to the owner, not to the buyer". People ask in Slack or Teams, and Tribble answers there.
Of everything we've looked at, it's the closest in shape to what Reynforce keeps.
What Reynforce does
- A list of what's true about your company. Every line has a named owner and the date someone last checked it.
- Rules for each agent. What it may promise on its own, what needs a person first, and what it may never say: a date nothing is in place to keep, its personal word, or anything that lets a buyer believe something nobody said.
- A record of every promise. Which agent said what to which buyer, the line it relied on, and whether it was allowed. Kept so nobody can edit it.
Side by side
| Tribble | Reynforce | |
|---|---|---|
| Who asks | People, in Slack, Teams, RFPs and security reviews | AI agents, before they promise something |
| The question | What is the approved answer, and who owns it? | May this agent promise this, and does someone stand behind it today? |
| What it records | Who approved the answer, from which source, and when | What each agent promised, to whom, and on what basis |
| What an agent is allowed to do | Not its job | Set per agent, with some things never allowed |
Our view
Tribble is right about the hard part. Deciding what's true and who answers for it is most of the work, and a company with a well-kept answer library is already further along than most.
Where we differ is who is on the other end. Tribble's answers go to a person who reads them first. Reynforce is for the moment nobody reads first: an agent writing to a buyer on its own. That needs a check before the sentence goes, and a record afterwards of what was actually promised.
If your proposal and security teams answer the same questions every week, Tribble is built for them. If your agents talk to buyers directly, that's what Reynforce is for.
The short version: Tribble tells you the right answer. Reynforce tells you what your agents actually promised with it.
