Reynforce and Agentforce, with Piper

In short

Agentforce keeps a Salesforce agent on its topics, filters harmful replies and logs what it did. Reynforce adds what Agentforce doesn't: a named owner and a date on each thing your agent may say, and a record of every promise it makes.

The problem

Good guardrails keep an agent on topic and polite. They can't tell you whether a fact it repeats is still true, or who is meant to keep it true.

What Agentforce and Piper do

Agentforce is Salesforce's agent platform. Its Einstein Trust Layer is "a secure AI architecture natively built into Salesforce". Topics and topic instructions keep an agent on its job. "Potentially harmful LLM responses are detected and flagged." An Audit Trail records "AI actions and outcomes". It can also connect to MCP servers, with "robust authentication, granular access controls, and policy enforcement".

Piper is "an out-of-the-box AI SDR agent from Qualified", built on the Salesforce platform. Salesforce's own story of running it describes "a curated knowledge foundation", connected to "approved product pages, FAQs, solution content, and event information", and refreshed "so Piper continues responding with current, approved information."

That last part is the right instinct. It's also done by hand, page by page.

What Reynforce does

  1. A list of what's true about your company, one line at a time. Every line has a named owner and the date someone last checked it. A line nobody has checked in too long is flagged as overdue.
  2. Rules for each agent. What it may promise on its own, what needs a person first, and what it may never say.
  3. A record of every promise. What was said, to whom, what it relied on, and whether it was allowed. Kept so nobody can edit it.

Before your agent promises a price, a date or a feature, it asks Reynforce. Reynforce answers yes, no, or "ask a person first".

Our view

If your agents live in Salesforce, keep them there. Agentforce's guardrails are good at what they cover, and Piper shows how much care Salesforce puts into choosing what an agent may answer from.

What we think is missing is the unit. Agentforce manages topics and pages. The thing a buyer holds you to is a single sentence. Reynforce manages that sentence: who owns it, when it was last checked, and every time an agent promised it.

Reynforce is an MCP server, and Agentforce can connect to MCP servers. So an Agentforce agent could ask Reynforce before it promises something, under the same access controls Salesforce applies to any other server.

The short version: Agentforce keeps the agent well-behaved. Reynforce keeps what it says true, owned and on the record.
